Position Summary

We are seeking a Drywall Project Manager with 5+ years of experience to oversee drywall, metal framing, and related scopes from project award through completion. This role manages schedules, budgets, material procurement, subcontractors, and field supervision to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage drywall and metal framing projects from contract execution through closeout.
  • Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and estimates to ensure full scope understanding.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with general contractors and field teams.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting.
  • Procure materials and coordinate deliveries to meet project schedules.
  • Issue subcontracts, change orders, and T&M as required.
  • Manage change order pricing, submissions, and negotiations.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, and field crews.
  • Attend project meetings, jobsite coordination meetings, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality standards, and project requirements.
  • Track RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and reporting.
  • Lead project closeout including punch lists, warranties, and final billing.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in drywall and metal framing (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of drywall, framing, and taping.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing commercial and/or multifamily drywall projects.
  • Proficiency with PM software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, WinBid, Plexxis) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with union teams.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction management software.
  • Knowledge of building codes and fire-rated assemblies.
  • Experience with schedule coordination and manpower planning.
